Catriona Leahy is an artist based between Kildare and Dublin. She held a 3-year studio membership at Temple Bar Gallery & Studios between 2018 and 2022 during which time she was also a member of the Board of Directors. In 2024 she was awarded the Fire Station Artist Studios Day Studio Residency. 


Catriona received her MA in Print from Royal College of Art, London in 2013. She has exhibited both nationally and internationally. Recent exhibitions include Orbits and Entropy at the Burren College of Art BAG Gallery (2024), Radical Archaeologies: Unearthing Landscape in Contemporary Irish Art at The Glucksman, Cork (2023), Agitation Co-op at Temple Bar Gallery and Studios (2021), How the land lies at Sirius Arts Centre, Cork (2020); Past|Ures at Library Project, Dublin (2020); Fast Slow Fast CCA Derry~Londonderry (2019); Unfolding Landscapes at De Cacaofabriek in Helmond, The Netherlands (2018); Coup de Ville, 3rd International Triennial Exhibition in Sint-Niklaas, Belgium (2016); Relief in Time, Rijksmuseum Twenthe Enschede, The Netherlands (2015). This year (2024) she will have her first solo show in The Ashford Gallery, RHA, Dublin. 


Recent awards include the FSAS (Fire Station Artist Studios) Day Studio Residency Award (2024/25), Arts Council Ireland Visual Arts Bursary (2023), FSAS Digital Media Practice Award for 2022, Kildare Arts ACT Grant (2021), Arts Council of Ireland Professional Development Award (2020), Arts Council of Ireland Visual Arts Bursary (2018), Culture Ireland Award for international exhibitions in 2018, 2016, 2011, Arts Council England Grants for the Arts (2016), AN Artist Bursary UK (2016).


She has been the recipient of numerous international residencies such as SIM, the Association of Icelandic Artists in 2024, The Frans Masereel Centre (2015, 2014, 2009), FLACC Workplace for Visual Artists (2014) - both in Belgium, and The Florence Trust in London (2015 – 2016). In 2021, she was selected to participate in the Landscape, Ecology, Environment, Research Residency (LEER) at Leitrim Sculpture Centre.
